One of the perks of my job is the schedule. I am full time, but I get 29 days off in a 49 period. As a result of this, I was able to trade three shifts in order togive myself a two week vacation (not that I am certain I earned it since I feel like I hardly work as it is).
I spent the entire time in Winnipeg celebrating my 27th birthday which occurred on the same weekend as Winnipeg Pride. I also got to catch up with many friends that I don’t see nearly often enough now that I am living out in Calgary. Plus two visits with my parents certainly left my Mother feeling a little spoiled that she got that much time with me.
It was so much fun to reconnect with the people that have had a huge impact on my life and to share new moments and memories with them. To those of you that I was able to spend some time with, thank you. To those of you that we weren’t able to make plans connect, I look forward to seeing you next time I am in town.
Coming home to Calgary was a mixed bag of emotions, but generally a great feeling though. It was such a whirlwind of activities that I was left totally exhausted upon my return yesterday. After a good night sleep, I am ready to tackle the task of writing the stories to be shared with you on my blog. I promise that there is also a vlog coming this week of another amazing trip that I did a few weeks ago, but I just haven’t had time to slow down to share it in a way that would do it justice.
It has also been two weeks since I have had a wonderfully brewed Keurig coffee, so I am going to indulge myself with some caffeine before I start my day. I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Happy Monday!
It certainly is a love hate relationship returning home from vacation. Isn’t it?
